The passing of Joanna Corrigan of Brandon occurred Friday November 2, 2007 at Hillcrest Place. The ceremony to Celebrate Joanna's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North on Tuesday November 6, 2007 at 11:00 A.M.. Interment will take place at a later date at the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery. CORRIGAN: Joanna Anne Corrigan (nee Yaciuk) passed away at Hillcrest Place on Friday, November 2, 2007. Joanna was born at Grandview, Manitoba on July 6, 1945. As a young girl she lived on a farm just outside of Shortdale, Manitoba and attended a one-room school. If you go by the school site today, you will find a cairn erected with Joanna's name on it. Joanna was employed by the federal government in the DND sector as a school secretary in Shilo. She was a great advocate for the MS Society and a part of the resident council at Hillcrest Place. Joanna adored her flower gardens she created, shopping, her grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Joanna will be lovingly remembered by her children Lisa (Dean) Smith; Collin Corrigan; brothers John Yaciuk and Russell Yaciuk; grandchildren Kanen Marnock and Craig Corrigan; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her father, William Yaciuk; mother Dore Yaciuk and her brother Gordon Yaciuk. The Ceremony to Celebrate Joanna's Life was held at Memories Chapel on Tuesday November 6,2007. Also thank you to Mona Franklin for presiding over the service, for helping guide Joanna to God and saying such beautiful things about a beautiful lady.
