Joan Eileen MacLellanNovember 2, 1944 – February 24, 2026

Joan Eileen Maclellan passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 81 years of age.

A military spouse for many years, Joan accompanied her husband, Neil, to West Germany, Oromocto, NB, and Shilo, MB. While in CFB Shilo, Joan spent many years working in the German kitchens and forged many lifelong friendships there. She enjoyed her outings with these friends, meeting regularly with them over the years since retiring in Brandon, MB.

Joan was predeceased by her parents, Rita and George, her brother, Barry, her sister, Margaret, and her beloved husband, Neil Joseph MacLellan. She is survived by her sisters, Gayle and Denise, and her three sons – Ron (Jan Marie), Don (Angie), and Neil. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Sydney, Mckenna, Cooper, and Therran, and her great-grandchildren, Arbela, Valletta, and Verona. She adored them all and treasured the time they spent together.

Thank you to the staff of the Brandon Regional Health Centre Emergency department, Intensive Care Unit, and Palliative Care Unit for your kindness and the wonderful care you gave to Joan.

Joan’s Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 2 pm at Memories Chapel in Brandon, MB. If you wish, a donation in Joan’s memory can be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, or the charity of your choice.
