It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Marie Burgess on Friday, October 20th, 2023.

Joan met the love of her life John Burgess in Kentville, Nova Scotia. From there, being a military wife, they travelled the world together, all while raising their family. They happily shared over sixty-seven years of marriage together. Joan was caring, loving, compassionate, always put everyone ahead of herself and was known for her sense of humour and laughter.

Joan will be lovingly remembered by her husband John, her four children Bob (Sharon), Cindy, Ray (Debbie), Sharon (Bob), her eight grandchildren and her seven great-grandchildren.

A private family graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023.
