FARQUHAR: Jennie Berthina Farquhar went to sleep on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Fairview Home in Brandon, where she resided for the past three years. Jennie was born on July 2, 1917 in Sunkist, Saskatchewan the daughter of Alex and Phoebe Christopher. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Ingelow, Manitoba where she was raised and attended school. Jennie married Arnold Farquhar on October 10, 1938. She lived in Carberry, Regina and Brandon. In her earlier years she enjoyed travelling to various places including: England, Scotland, Arizona, Texas and Hawaii. Jennie enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage as well as spending time with her family and looked forward to visits from her many friends. She was predeceased by: her husband, Arnold; parents; Alex and Phoebe Christopher; sister, Irene; brothers, George and Bert; and great grandson, Caleb. She is survived by: her sons, Morris (Elizabeth), Murray (Irene) and Richard (Elizabeth); daughter, Denise (Todd) Gabler; eleven grandchildren, Deena, Kerry, Jonathan, Elisa, Heather, Cherie, Ian, Michelle, Matthew, Vince, and Ivan; and eight great grandchildren. Mom was Baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1974. She looked forward to the time, in the near future, when Jehovah God will actually "swallow up death forever", Isaiah 25:7. The Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3434 Park Avenue, on Friday, September 23, 2005 at 2:00 pm. Clarence Cooper will officiate.
