LERONOWICH: The death of Jean Leronowich, widow of Charles and dear mother of Raymond and Elaine, occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, July 19, 2003. Jean was born in Brandon on October 9, 1926, daughter of Theodore and Laura Simbalist. She received her education in Brandon and in 1946, married Charles Leronowich. Jean enjoyed walking, reading, gardening, especially her flowers. She leaves her two children; son, Raymond (Valerie) and their children, Mark (Jamie), Chris (Raegan), Melissa (Cam) and daughter, Elaine (Ed) Riesmeyer and their children, Jason, Kim (Chuck). There are six great grandchildren. Jean also leaves two sisters, Emily (Peter) Romanik and Ann Baron. There are numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by; her parents, Fred and Laura, husband Charles; sisters, Mary Simbalist and Isobel Mikalchuk and by brothers, Monsenior Anthony Simbalist and Sylvester Simbalist. Prayers will be said at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 (tonight) at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, 327-4th Street on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at 10:30 am. Celebrant will be Fr. Eric Giddins. Pallbearers will be: Mark Leronowich, Christopher Leronowich, Jason Riesmeyer, Kim Riesmeyer, Melissa Buck and Steven Romanik. Interment will follow in the Brandon cemetery.
