Obituary

KNIGHT: Jean Dinah Mary Knight born November 7, 1915 in Treherne, Manitoba passed away peacefully June 8, 2006 at Fairview Home, Brandon. Jean is survived by sons, Tom (May) of Brandon, Richard of Elgin; grandsons, Richard (Carolee) of Munising, Michigan, Wesley (Lorelyn) of Brandon, Jeffrey (Kendra) of Medicine Hat, Alberta; three great grandchildren, Patrick, Eldon and Keyara; sister, Helen Arason and sister-in-law, Isabel Patterson of Cypress River as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to the staff on 2nd floor at Fairview Home for their dedicated care and compassion during her stay. Funeral Service at Souris Glenwood Community Complex, Monday, June 19, 2006 at 1:00 pm. Mr. David Jury and Miss Audrey Robbins will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.


KNIGHT: Jean Dinah Mary Knight passed away peacefully Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Fairview Home.
Jean was born November 7, 1915 to George and Jennie Patterson at Treherne, Manitoba. The family lived at Carrol, Manitoba and later moved to Cypress River where she worked in the telephone office, bakery and later helped on the farm homes.
Jean married Joseph Lloyd Knight on June 22, 1937. They lived on and farmed the old Knight place until they purchased the Luther Wallace farm, west of Cypress River. In 1965 they retired from farming and moved to Brandon.
Following Lloyd's passing in 1974, Jean moved to Winnipeg where she lived with her younger sister - Isabel. After Isabel's passing she moved to East View Lodge Nursing Home in Neepawa in May 2002. In 2004, she moved to Brandon.
Jean is survived by two sons, Tom (May) Knight of Brandon, Richard of Elgin; grandsons, Richard (Carolee) of Munising, Michigan, Wesley (Lorelyn) of Brandon, Jeffrey (Kendra) of Medicine Hat, Alberta; three great grandchildren, Patrick, Eldon and Keyara; sister, Helen Arason and sister-in-law, Isabel Patterson of Cypress River as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jean was predeceased by husband, Lloyd; brothers, Alex (Pauline), James (Isobel), Dave; sister, Isabel Patterson and brother-in-law, Elmer Arason.
