We are deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Jason Daniel Jarvis, 56, on Monday, March 31st, 2025, in Brandon Manitoba.

Jason was born on October 2, 1968, in Atikokan Ontario to Jim and Dawn Jarvis. Shortly thereafter the family moved back to Rainy River Ontario where Jason was raised. He spent his childhood and adolescent years helping on the family farm, playing hockey and spending time with his extended family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and sharing in his love of cars with his best friend Alan.

After graduating high school, Jason spent a summer working at dogtooth resort and then began working in Winnipeg. He obtained his certificate in Heavy Duty Mechanics at Assiniboine Community College. He then worked in Winnipeg at both Peterbilt and Ryder Truck Rentals, before starting his business selling Mac Tools in 2003. His business brought him and his family to Brandon a few years later.

Jason married the love of his life, Dagmar Elizabeth Kramer on January 15, 2000. They had three sons, Seth, Jonah and Luke. His devotion to his family always came first and was evident to all around him. He was so proud of all his three sons and loved to spend time with them and to celebrate all their accomplishments. He spent many hours at their hockey games, taking them for rides in his newest cars, and polishing his latest accents and impressions with them.

Jason's faith in God impacted how he conducted his relationships and business. He was always there for a friend in need and ready to help in any way he could. Over the past 21 years, he built a far-reaching business across Westman with Mac Tools based on integrity and building relationships with his customers. He was known to be direct and honest but always had his customers best interest in mind. His dedication to his customers and Mac Tools family was very important to him, and he loved connecting with his Mac Tools family at annual tool conventions.

Jason had a very adventurous spirit and enjoyed many opportunities to travel around the world. Family trips to Barbados, Switzerland, and Banff were some of his most cherished memories. He loved adding to his vehicle collection and working on his latest projects, a love which he passed on to his sons. He also enjoyed watching the Wheat Kings, fishing trips in Ontario, and barbecuing steaks for his friends and family. His love and knowledge of music was deeply integrated into all aspects of his life.

Jason will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Dagmar; sons: Seth (Fiancé Brooklynn), Jonah and Luke; parents: Jim and Dawn; siblings: James (Georgina) and Georgia (Troy); parents in-law: Botho and Regula; sister in-law: Rebecca (Malcolm); brothers in-law: Dave (Colleen) and Thomas (Michelle); nieces and nephews: Cody (Marlee), Jenna (Damien), Isabella, Olivia, Skylar, Hannah, Nina, Sierra, Tobias, Gus, Madelyn and great-niece Everly. He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jason was predeceased by his grandparents: George and Peggy Murray, Henry and Helen Jarvis; and uncles: Delmar, Clifford, and Glen.
