The death of Janet Ann Maginel of Fairview Personal Care Home occurred on Sunday February 4, 2024.

Janet was born June 4th, 1931, and was raised and educated in Rounthwaite, Manitoba. Janet married George Maginel in 1955 and had three children, Dean, Darren and Melanie. Janet was an active member of the Brandon Community and spent many years working in support of the Associated Travellers, Valleyview Community Centre and the gift shop at Brandon General Hospital. Janet loved yard/garage sales, flea markets, reading, puzzles, scrabble and playing bridge. She was an avid sports fan and was a huge supporter of the Brandon Wheat Kings, Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Blue Jays. In her later years Janet resided and thoroughly enjoyed living at Sokol supportive housing.

Janet was pre-deceased by her husband George, brothers John and Herb, son-in-law Brent Anderson and Jason Cope.

Left to mourn are her children Dean (Jackie), Darren (Allison Manning), Melanie (Blake Manser), grandchildren: Monique, Nolan, Chrissy, Karlan, Payton, Avery, Erin, Holly and six great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 18th Street North, Brandon, Manitoba on Monday February 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
