It is with great sadness that the family of James (Jim) Earle Metcalfe announce the passing of their father and grandfather. He passed away quietly in his sleep on the morning of April 23, 2017 at his residence, Dinsdale Personal Care home at the age of 86 years. Jim is survived by his daughter Cheryl (Barry) Tereck and granddaughter Janelle of Winnipeg, daughter Joanne Metcalfe of Brandon and granddaughters Leigh Anne and Janna Lynn, and son Ross Metcalfe (Leeanne Meek) of Brandon. Jim was predeceased by his wife Velma and son James "Garth" Metcalfe. Jim was a hard-working man who took much pride in his craft. His unique personality and wit will be remembered by many. A quiet family service was held on April 28, 2017 at Carroll, Manitoba.
