HIGGENS: James "Jim" Edwin Higgens, beloved husband of Susan, father of Jaron of Cedar Hill, TX, Josh of Edmonton, AB, Alison (Foster) and Brittany of Brandon, passed away suddenly at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, October 22, 2003. Jim was born on November 29, 1953 in Brandon. He was predeceased by his father Wilbert Thomas "Bud" Higgens. He is survived by his mother Peggy and step-father Grant Johnson; mother and father-in-law Isobel and Ed Airey all of Brandon; and sister Delwyn (Mike) of Toronto. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Sandy McPhail of West Palm Beach, FL; Shawna Airey (Dean) of Brandon; special brother-in-law and friend Ray McPhail of Brandon as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Jim was a general contractor and President of Jim Higgens Const. Co. Ltd. He was an avid curler and golfer and enjoyed the many bonspiels and golf trips spent with numerous friends. The Ceremony to Celebrate Jim's Life will be held at Central United Church on Monday, October 27, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Laird Russell-Yearwood will officiate. Flowers are gratefully declined.
