Obituary

DOUGLAS: James "Jim" Douglas passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, May 31, 2007. Jim was born at MacDonald, Manitoba on December 30, 1935. He received his education in Welwyn, Saskatchewan. Jim worked at Moosomin Feed Lot. After moving to Brandon in 1971, he worked at CPR for a short time. He enjoyed driving and took this on as a career for Grey Goose Bus Lines, Gelco, Purolator and most recently, Murray Chev Olds. Jim enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Glen Lea Men's Senior Golf. He loved watching the Brandon Wheat Kings and WayWay Wolverine Hockey teams, and enjoyed watching Brayden's Bantam "A" team this year. Jim was also interested in pool, the slot machines, and traveling to Creston every fall to spend time with Bev and Peter. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jean; daughter Cheryl; special niece Shawna (Tony) and their children Nicole, Drew and Brayden; brother Ray Troop (Alana); sister-in-law Byrnece Henderson; niece Toot Broeska and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Ethel. The Ceremony to Celebrate Jim's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 1:30 pm. Mr. Mike Waddell will officiate. Urn bearer will be Drew Bertone. Honorary Pallbearers will be those all in attendance. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium. Donations in memory of Jim may be made to a charity of one's choice. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
