James Anker Dillabough passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Sandy Lake, Manitoba.
James was born on April 10, 1957, in Deloraine, Manitoba. He spent his early years there before moving with his family to Brandon, where he attended Crocus Plains High School. At the age of 18, James met the love of his life, Lorraine, and the two were married in 1978, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love and devotion.
James worked as a skilled glazier and later operated his own business, Glasswerks. He had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed quadding, snowmobiling, camping, restoring muscle cars, and riding his e-bike. Above all else, James treasured his role as “Papa” to his three beloved grandchildren.
James will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lorraine; his son, Brennen (Sade Cameron); his daughter, Tawny Kerkowich (Ian); his sister Brenda Dillabough; brother Brian Dillabough; brother in law's, Rick Laderoute and Bob Degroot his cherished grandchildren, Bria, Aubrynn, and Calder; nieces Canda Laderoute, Sarah Ludgate and Erika Ludgate and beloved fur baby, Cuda and friends.
Donations in memory of James may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
