Obituary

The death of Jacob Peters of Alexander, occurred at his residence on Monday, July 7, 2014. Jacob was born at Morden, Manitoba on September 10, 1943, son of David and Maria Peters. During his lifetime he farmed, was employed with Shur-Gro and worked for the Rural Municipality of Whitehead as a road maintenance operator until his retirement. Jacob enjoyed wood working, welding and fabricating. He also enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He leaves to mourn; his children, Jo-Anne Greenstein, Colleen Peters-McCarten and David Peters. There are six grandchildren. His mother, Maria Peters, two sisters, Marianne Schapansky and Caroline Charrette also survive. Jacob was predeceased by his father, David Peters. The Funeral Service will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th North on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Viewing will be held prior to the ceremony. Pastor Ken Quiring will officiate. Following cremation a private graveside service will be held at the Alexander cemetery.
