GOWANS: The death of Isabella "Ella" Gowans occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, December 17, 2005. Born in Dundee, Scotland on October 10, 1931, she emigrated to Canada on November 11, 1966, with her husband and four children. Mom enjoyed the time she and dad spent at their cabin at Minnedosa, especially when the grandchildren came to stay for a weekend. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed taking them out for lunch and spoiling them. The kids knew there was always a treat waiting for them at grandma's. She also loved playing bingo with her friends and often won. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty years, Gerard "Ged" children, Jean Langston (Roger), Margaret (Rob) MacDearmid, Robert (Tracy) Gowans, Alan (Wendy) Gowans. Her grandchildren who will miss her dearly; Robbie, Pamela, Jennifer, Scott, Justin, Rory and Chloe. Ella also leaves a sister, Jean (Don) Gemmell and dear nieces, Tanis (Mike) Kreller and family and Kerry (Scott) Hemstad and a dear niece in Dundee Scotland, Anne Storie and her family. As requested by mom, there will be no formal ceremony.
