Inez Muriel Shaw passed away July 31, 2001 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, at the age of 96, with her family by her side. Inez was born at Riverside May 16, 1905, the eldest daughter of Liskum and Maude Campbell. She attended school there. Inez married Roy Shaw in 1926. They farmed in the Fairfax District and retired from the farm to Minto. She spent her last 16 years in Dowland Manor and enjoyed her garden and lovely flowers until her health failed. Inez was involved and active in the Community Organizations and was a member of the Minto United Church. She loved to watch curling and baseball and attended the games when she was able. Inez enjoyed watching her grandchildren play in their sports activities. She had many special neighbors and friends. Inez is survived by; her daughter, Edna Burke (Ed) and son Orville (Elva) Shaw and daughter-in-law, Audrey Shaw. Grandchildren; Sandra, Larry, Brenda, Brad, Janice, Richard and their mother Yvonne and Dean, Kim and Heather. There are twenty great grandchildren. She also leaves a sister, Verna Nesbitt and a brother, Irwin Campbell as well as nieces and nephews who were very fond of her. She was predeceased by; her husband Roy of 50 years in 1976, son Donald in 1998 and a sister, Aleta Mealy in 1980. The Funeral Ceremony was held at the Minto United Church, Minto, Manitoba on Friday, August 3, 2001. The Rev. Harvey Hurren officiated. Pallbearers were: Brad Shaw, Richard Shaw, Tom Sprott, Bob Day, Wes Stobbe and Willie De Yaeger Interment was in the Minto Cemetery.
