THIESSEN: Henry. Henry went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 11, 2010. He leaves to mourn his passing - his wife Lena, sons: Richard, James (Connie), Dennis (Audrey) and daughter Karen (Brian) Reimer. Four grandchildren: Nikki, Jakki, Brady and Blair. He is also survived by sisters Ag (John) and Anne, brothers Abe, Jake (Hilda) as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents George and Agatha Thiessen, brother George, sisters-in-law Mary and Katie and brother-in-law George Wiens. Henry and his twin brother Jake were born April 8, 1934 at Oak Lake, Manitoba (the youngest of 6 children). Henry always loved sports of all kinds and participated whenever he could. On April 7, 1956 he married Lena Wiens, daughter of Abram and Elizabeth Wiens of McAuley, Manitoba. Together they raised four children. Funeral Service was held at McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church on Saturday, May 15, 2010. Pastors Dan Pope and Earl Ricalton officiated. Pallbearers were Bill Thiessen, Brian Thiessen, Reg Thiessen, Ed Wiens, Bob Wiens and Larry Wiens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations in memory of Henry may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation for Palliative Care, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, B - 727 - 10th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 4G7.
