KNIGHT: Henry Enoch Frederick Knight passed away at Cherry Point, Oak Lake, on May 4, 2008. Henry was born on May 22, 1929 and raised in Chatham, Ontario. He joined the armed forces in Kingston, trained as a mechanic, and travelled to various locations overseas in Egypt and Germany before his final posting in Shilo. Henry served in the forces for twenty- three years. Following his armed forces service, Henry worked as a mechanic at K-Mart for several years. He also served as a security guard at the BMHC prior to his retirement. He was a great teacher, educating from experiences, to his family and friends. He taught them about woodworking, electrical, mechanics and all types of renovations. Henry was a friend to everyone and always willing to help with his expertise and share his knowledge. Fraternally he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #79, Oak Lake and FSNA. His hobbies included woodworking, reading, his computer and visiting with family and friends. Henry was fondly known as, "Hawk" and jokingly known as "Mayor of Cherry Point". He is survived by his wife Barbara and children, Donna, Jeanne, James, Marla and stepchildren, Cameron, Kevin and Stephen. There are several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Henry was predeceased by; his parents and two brothers. Following Henry's wishes, no formal ceremony will be held.
