ANDRONICK: It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Henry Andronick on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Rideau Park Personal Care Home, with his family by his side. Henry was born on a farm near Alexander on March 26, 1925. At the age of six he moved with his family to Brandon. Henry joined the army in January 1944, serving in England, France and Holland until being nearly fatally wounded in April, 1944 after which he spent nearly a year in the hospital recovering. Following his discharge Henry worked as a postal clerk for 38 years, was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 66 years and life member of the Polish Sokol Association. Henry was predeceased by his parents William and Mary, brother Steven, sisters Ann and Margaret. Surviving are his loving wife Norma; children Shannon (Dave) Cisyk, Janice (Jerry) Baker, Patti Andronick (Wally Hunter), Jody (Dave) Darr, Steven Andronick (Cindy Patterson); grandchildren Cory, Val, Ian, Kelly, Ryan, Mitch and Logan; brothers Michael (Bernice) and Harry. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North with Rev. Harvey Hurren officiating. Interment will follow at Brandon Cemetery. If friends so desire donations in memory of Henry may be made to a charity of their choice.
