BRAY: Harry Louis Bray, passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on February 13, 2007. Harry was born on August 4, 1922 and raised in Alexander, Manitoba. He enjoyed hockey and baseball while attending elementary and high school. In 1942, he joined the Winnipeg Rifles and served overseas in World War II. Harry's work career was in the automotive industry in the parts department in Melita for Northern Auto Parts and for Brandon Automobiles until his retirement in 1971. During retirement, he enjoyed gardening and social events with the Whitehead's Seniors Organization in Alexander. He also enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends throughout Canada and the U.S.A. Harry particularly enjoyed following the activities and progress of his extended family members. Harry was interested in spectator sports, dancing, card games, and billiards. He is survived by his brother Mert; sister-in-law Shirley; nephew Reg; niece Sandy (Tim Moore) and great nephews Joel and Kelly Bray and Cary and Tyler Pickering. Harry was predeceased by his father Louis in 1926; brother Reg in World War II in 1944; mother Connie in 1978 and sister Eleanor in 1989. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Harry may be made to a charity of one's choice.
