MILLER: Grace Ellen Miller, formerly of Justice, passed away suddenly at her residence, Fairview Personal Care Home on October 10, 2003. She was born, one of eight children to Herb and Ellen Cox of Justice, on February 21st, 1915. Grace went to school at Justice Consolidated School. She also attended Sunday School at Justice in her younger years. Grace was a member of the C.G.I.T. and loved to tell about C.G.I.T. camp with her friends at Pelican Lake. After finishing school, she married Harry Miller on November 14, 1934. Together they raised three children Donna, Garry and Lorna. Along with helping Harry on the farm, Grace worked a few years at Carnation Foods and then was a housekeeper at Barney's Motel. She liked playing cards, curling, and in her younger years she enjoyed playing baseball and later watching it. Grace served on the Justice Community Club and belonged to the Justice Legion. She was a member of the Justice United Church all her life and an active member of the U.C.W. Grace also taught Sunday School for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved to have her family around her as often as possible. Grace enjoyed Uker, 500 and Scrabble and everyone who visited her remember how she wanted you to come in and play cards and have something to eat. She was a great cook; her grandchildren especially remember her delicious apple pies. Grace is survived by her children Donna (Roy) Ewasiuk, Garry Miller (Janice Little), all of Justice, and Lorna (Neil) McFaddin of Brandon. Her grandchildren Brent (Heather) Ewasiuk, Brenda (Glenn) Wallace, Jodi (Jeff) Hrymak, Jenifer Miller, Jillian (Jason) Lawrence, Glen (Misty) McFaddin, Joanna (Ken) Attridge; great grandchildren Ashley and Bryce Ewasiuk, Justin and Amanda Wallace, Tyson Cloett, Darius and Tori Attridge. She is also survived by her siblings Elsie (Wilfred) Ames, Cynthia (Doug) Swalwell, Laval (Dorothy) Cox and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel on Tuesday, October 14, 2003. Rev. Barbara Jardine officiated. Interment followed in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were her grandsons: Brent Ewasiuk, Glen McFaddin, Glenn Wallace, Jeff Hrymak, Jason Lawrence, and Ken Attridge. Honorary Bearers were all in attendance.
