Obituary
Al passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, January 15, 2024.
Al was born on the family farm in Cornwallis Municipality on November 4, 1932, to Gordon and Edna Chalmers.
Al worked at The Brandon Sun, Simplot and Leech Printing. He enjoyed carving and has given and sold many beautiful carvings over the years.
In July 1953 he married Reta Robins and together they raised 3 children.
Al & Reta enjoyed many trips together and enjoyed the bus trip to South Beach Casino.
Left to mourn his passing are his children: Ian (Cindy), Rick (Kim), Wendy (Wayne) Marks; 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will honour Al and Reta together at a later date.
Thank you to the staff at Rideau Park for their care for the last 4 years and thank you to the Dialysis Department for the many years of care.
