BLACK: Gordon Conrad Black passed away following a brief illness, at Brandon Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, July 4, 2010, at the age of 94 years. Gordon leaves to mourn, eleven nieces and nephews and their families, as well as many friends. Gordon was born at Douglas, where he grew upon the family farm. Other than short winter employment in the logging industry, he farmed the home farm and enjoyed everyday life in the Douglas Community. Funeral service will take place in the Douglas United Church, where Gordon was a lifelong member, on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Madford Cemetery. Friends that so desire, memorial donations may be made in Gordon's memory to Douglas United Church or the Madford Cemetery Committee.
