Obituary

JAMIESON: The death of Glenn Jamieson of Brandon, beloved husband of Alice, occurred in the city on Saturday, December 29, 2007. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Tom Delgaty will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brandon cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Glenn to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, #1, 613 10th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 4G6. Complete obituary information will follow. JAMIESON: Glenn Jamieson passed away at his residence, Rideau Park Personal Care Home on December 29, 2007. Glenn was born at Shell River, MB on August 22, 1922. He lived at the family farm in the Cordova district and took all his schooling there. He joined the armed forces at the age of seventeen, serving overseas, spending four years in Italy. He then farmed several years also building roads in the Brandon Hills district. Glenn then went to work at the Brandon Experimental Farm. From there, he went to work as the ROP Swine Test Station. After twenty years, he retired. Glenn was included in a list of thirty-seven Manitobans who received the award for gallant and distinguished service overseas. He participated in campaigns in Italy and northern Europe. He was also a member of the Canadian Armored Corps. Glenn was predeceased by, his parents and first wife Jeanne Plamondon. He is survived by his wife Alice and his four children, Pat, Bruce, Glenna and Barbara. There are four step- children, Dianne, Bruce, Jim and Neil as well as many grandchildren. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel, on Wednesday, January 2, 2008. The Rev. Tom Delgaty officiated. Interment followed in the Brandon cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
