Irene Wilson (nee Booth) 1925 - 2005
With sadness, we announce the passing of Irene Wilson on Saturday December 10th, 2005 at the Assiniboine Centre of the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Left to mourn are her son Glen Wilson (Janet) of Milton, Ontario, Grant Wilson (Sheila Scott) of Calgary and her grandchildren Dallas Gabriel (Barrett) and Ben Wilson and great grandson Jackson Gabriel. As well she is survived by her brother Bill Booth of Kingston, Ontario. She is predeceased by her daughter Carolyn Bernie (Bonar) and her husband Mervyn Anderson Wilson and as well, her sister Lois McCallum (Red).
Irene had a successful business career in Insurance, Trucking and Construction until her retirement in 1988 when she moved back to Brandon from Winnipeg to take up residence at the Sokol Manor. Irene was a very proud Charter and Life Member of the Order of the Royal Purple of Canada. A wonderful Mother and friend of many in Swan River, Brandon and Milton, Ontario and will be missed by one and all.
Services were held at Memories Chapel on Tuesday, December 13th, 2005. A reception was held at Memories Chapel following the ceremony. Interment will be at a later date in Swan River where she will come to rest beside her husband Merv.
