SPILLER: Geraldine "Gerry" Spiller, beloved wife of Don, and dear mother of Tammy, Lana, Donald, Marla, Amber and Timothy, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at the age of 53 years, after a valiant and courageous battle. Gerry was born in Brandon, on July 5, 1949, the daughter of Harold and Nellie Steeves. She will be remembered for her passions and joys of life. One being her love and devotion for her husband and their marriage, as they truly showed for better or for worse, being united in marriage for 36 years. Mom had a big heart when it came to babies, animals and the elderly. She had a gentle touch, lots of love to give and a genuine care for the well being of those in need. She loved to cook and bake, as her friends and family would attest to, as they enjoyed it many times. The last little while she shared with her family her delicious recipes and secrets that they all loved, and very much took for granted before. These secrets are very appreciated, but they will miss her special touch. Gerry is survived by her husband Don of Sprucewoods; her children, Tammy (Garry) Cleeve of Aldergrove, BC, Lana (Rod) Paterson of Brandon, Donald Spiller Jr. of Winnipeg, MB, Marla (Dan) Saunders of Brandon, Amber Spiller of Sprucewoods, and Tim (Ali) Spiller of Brandon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kyle and Blake Cleeve and Dawson and Dezerae Saunders; parents Harold and Nell Steeves of Oakville, ON; and her sister, Marlene Kroeker also of Oakville. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends survive her also. Her infant son, Harold Albert Spiller and her grandparents, Tom and Jennie, predeceased her. We place her in God's loving hands and trust she will have a safe passage. She will be sadly missed till we meet again. A private family gathering will be held.
