GAGE: Geraldine "Geri" Anne Gage, of Brandon, formerly of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba passed away at Hillcrest Place, on Saturday, August 23, 2008. Geri was born in Brantford, Ontario on October 4th, 1935. She married her high school sweetheart, Norman Russell Gage on July 3, 1954. Throughout their military career, they were stationed in Kingston, Ontario, Germany, Ottawa, Ontario, CFB Shilo, CFB Rivers, and CFB Portage. Geri worked for the Base Exchange in both Shilo and Rivers, and Hill's East Drug Store in Portage, which prompted her to go into business herself. She owned and operated Geri's Boutique until moving to Brandon in 1992 after the death of her husband. Geri enjoyed music, knitting, macramT, bingo, yard sales, and especially playing cards and board games with her grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, siblings, and husband. Geri is survived by: daughters Lynn (Don) Defoort of Brandon, Leann (Noel) Smith of Portage la Prairie; son Norm Jr. Gage (Jacquie Hume) of Oak River, Manitoba; grandchildren: Erica Smith, Amber and Travis Defoort, Tyler and Danielle Gage (and their mom Dianne Leclerc) and twins Rylan and Reanna Gage. In keeping with Geri's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held.
