KINSEY: The family sadly announces the passing of Gerald "Red" Kinsey whose death occurred on Monday, June 21, 1999 at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon. Gerald was born March 8, 1922 in Boissevain, Manitoba. Gerry spent most of his life in the Armed Services and worked for the City of Brandon for 37 years. He had a great interest in woodworking, making many things for his family and grandchildren. Gerry considered his family his greatest achievement in life. Gerald is survived by his four loving children: Marilyn (Jack) Beach, Glen (Treena), Bev (Ken) Roberts, and Wayne (Betty); grandchildren: Laurie, Wes (Lisa), Heather (Richard), Stephan (Kathy), Bev (Hughie), Dawn (Rick), Kim (Kurt), Corey (Sylvia), Connie (Cory), Diane, and Chris; plus 17 great-grandchildren: Michael, Daniel, Adam, Alyssa, Sarah, Joshua, Matthew, Amanda, Stephanie, Daphne, Laine, Kelsey, Rylan, Taeya, Kristin, Jordin, and Bryce. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Steve and Bert; and 2 sisters, Gwen and Pat. Gerald was predeceased by his beloved wife Irene; his parents, John and Alice; brothers Jack, Albert, Eddy; and sister, Evelyn. Funeral service was held at Memories Chapel on Thursday, June 24, 1999. Captain Barbara Brown of Dinsdale Home officiated. Interment was in the Brandon Cemetery.
