Georgina Mary Parker (nee Rands) passed away peacefully at her residence in Brandon on November 14, 2001. Georgina was born on November 15, 1929 at MacGregor, Manitoba , daughter of the late Cecil and Janet Rands. She attended Orangeville School in the MacGregor district and then worked several years in Ontario. She was the first woman to work in the Forestry Fire Tower in Ontario. She loved travelling and camping with her lifelong friend and husband Vern. Georgina enjoyed cross-stitching, knitting and reading. One of the greatest highlights in her life was her twin grandsons, Kurt and Kyle. She is survived by her loving husband Vern, her son and daughter-in-law Larry and Lynne (nee Murray) Parker; grandsons, Kurt and Kyle of Austin. Brothers and sister, Delbert, Glen (Helen) Rands and Lucille (Jim) Cox of MacGregor. There are many nieces and nephews as well as a special family, Bill, Charlene, Kyla and Jordan Hamilton of Ontario. Georgina was predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Janet Rands, her first husband, Mike Mylymok, her second husband, Simo Puerto and by niece and nephew, Lori and Ronnie Rands. A private burial service will be held at the Austin Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends who so desire may make memorial donations to either the Children's Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 3J2 or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 42 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2B2.
