CURTIS: Georgina Curtis (nee Box) passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, April 4, 2006.Georgina was born in Grenfell, Saskatchewan on February 21, 1916, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. R.A. Box. She married Winston Charles Curtis on December 5, 1941 in Alexander, Manitoba. Georgina will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lila (Vic) Moore and Bob (Denise) Curtis; daughter-in-law, Elaine (Don) Bettof; grandchildren, Greg (Kim), Perry (Angela), Deanna (Dave), Bart (Oralee), Kelly; step grandchildren, Mike and Andrew Waite; and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Muriel Gingell, Lucy Ritza, Keith Box, Freida Hawken and Merle Laut; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends. Georgina was predeceased by her beloved husband, Winston Charles Curtis; dear son, Garry Earl Curtis; parents, Richard Alfred and Mary Box; five sisters and three brothers. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 1:00 pm. The Rev. Laird Russell-Yearwood of Central United Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alexander Cemetery at a later date.
