In 1954, George, Margaret, and family moved to Brandon where they had their third child Gary. George commenced employment with Perth's Dry Cleaners in 1955. He cherished and devoted his career as Chief Engineer and was employed until his retirement in 2005 at the age of 82 with 50 years of service. George and Margaret were both members of the Crocus Seniors and the Army Navy and Air Force Club where they loved playing shuffleboard and attending weekly meat draws.
