Obituary

TAYLOR: George William "Stanley" Taylor passed away at Central Park Lodge on Tuesday, March 25, 2003. Stan was born in the Desford district in the R.M. of Turtle Mountain on December 28, 1907. He received his education at West Lake School. Stan's first occupation was farming. He farmed with his family near Ninga until he chose to join the services. He served overseas until WWII was over. After his return he worked with Good Roads for a short time and then he returned to the farm for a few years. He then relocated to Boissevain where he was in the dray business. The next move was to Brandon where he started a Civil Services job at Shilo. He retired in 1973 and enjoyed doing various upholstery jobs for many years. Stan is survived by: two children, Murray of Killarney and Margaret (Mabon) of Baldur. He is also survived by: sister Ruby Horner of Lethbridge as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside service was held on Saturday, April 19, 2003 in the Veterans' Section of the Brandon Cemetery.
