MORRISON: Born September 12, 1931, George Morrison of Brandon, Manitoba passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. George was born and raised in Winnipeg and after obtaining his C.A. he moved to Brandon to begin his career with Simplot where he worked until he retired. In Brandon, George met the love of his life, Donna, who later became his wife. While living a quiet life George never lost his wonderful sense of humour and will be sadly missed. George was predeceased by: his beloved wife Donna; parents, Donald and May Morrison; brothers, Don and Bob Morrison; and his sister Joan Morrison. George is survived by: his step-daughter, Brenda Schween of Brandon and her daughter Melody-Anne; nephews, Mike (Heather) Morrison and their daughter Melody Skye; Bob Morrison all of Winnipeg, Murray (Kathleen) Morrison of Thunder Bay; his nieces, Joanne Morrison of Winnipeg; and Susan (Ray Maurice) Morrison of Vancouver. Also surviving George, is his lifelong friend, Wally Bouskill of Niagara-on-the-Lake and his good friend and neighbour Nel Federick of Brandon. The Morrison family would like to extend a warm thank you to Brenda Schween and her father Ray Schween who have provided a lot of support to George over the last few years and have extended themselves by providing tremendous assistance to the family during this past week. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of George to a charity of their choice. A reception and time to remember George will be held at the Viscount Gort Hotel, 1670 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba on Monday, March 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Napinka, Manitoba at a later date.
