Born June 30, 1956, Gary passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, October 10, 2022. Gary was predeceased by his parents Grace and Jim Shopland and sister Shirley Shopland. He is survived by his brother Garth Shopland and family. Gary was predeceased by, and is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins from both the Shopland and Wakefield families. All are welcome to attend a brief graveside service for Gary at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Rosewood Memorial Gardens, followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments at Memories Chapel, 330 – 18th Street North, Brandon. Gary was a t-shirt and jeans guy; not a suit and tie guy. Please dress casual. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gary may be made to the charity of your choice.
