BARTLETT: The death of Gary Bartlett, beloved husband of Lynne and dear father of Taja and Travis, occurred on Thursday, July 14, 2005. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 339-12th Street, on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Dr. Dale Woods will officiate. BARTLETT: Gary Alvin Bartlett passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2005. He was born in Port Arthur, Ontario (Thunder Bay) on April 12, 1948, to Alvin and Gladys Bartlett. He moved to Brandon when he was 12 years old. On February 3, 1968 he married Lynne Jackson whom he met through their love for horses. Gary worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance before purchasing their first farm in the Brandon Hills. After subdividing that land, they farmed in the Ninette area where he started Bartlett Custom Haying and Hauling. He also sold specialty cars as Executive Car Sales. While living in Phoenix, Arizona, he dealt in antique and classical cars. He later moved to Calgary, then back to Brandon where he sold cars, started a tree moving business and did custom hay hauling. Gary loved going to cutting horse contests, water skiing, downhill skiing, travelling in the motor home, snow machines, and jogging. Gary is survived by his wife, Lynne; daughter, Taja (Rich) Lonstrup; son, Travis; and grandson, Ross Lonstrup. He is also survived by his brother, Mark (Rita); sister, Maryanne; Aunt and Uncle, Eva and Jim; nieces, nephew and numerous cousins. The Funeral Ceremony was held at First Presbyterian Church on Monday, July 18, 2005. The Rev. Dr. Dale Woods officiated. Interment followed in the Brandon Cemetery.
