CULBERTSON: Margaret Ruth Gail Culbertson, of Brandon, widow of Wes Culbertson passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, July 11, 2008. The Ceremony to Celebrate Gail's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 2:00pm. Arlene Robertson of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Gail to a charity of their choice. Complete obituary information will follow. CULBERTSON: Margaret Ruth Gail Culbertson (Fisher) passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, July 11, 2008. Gail was born on July 8, 1938 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was raised in Brandon as the daughter of a prominent veterinarian. Gail followed her mother into a career of nursing. She attended BCI and Brandon General Hospital School of Nursing, graduating as an RN on January 23, 1960. Gail worked in San Francisco for three years after graduation. She returned to the Brandon General Hospital where she worked on the maternity floor for the next thirteen years before finishing her forty-three year career as an RN on A3 in the Assiniboine Centre. Wes Culbertson and Gail Fisher were married in Brandon on January 23, 1965. Gail considered her family to be her most cherished achievement. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, and family times spent at their cabin at Sandy Lake. Gail is survived by children Ian Culbertson, Susan (Robert) Horwood, James (Leticia) Culbertson; grandchildren: Darin Culbertson, Tanya Culbertson, Jasmine Horwood, Sofia Culbertson and Sonja Culbertson; great-grandchildren Steven and Katie Jackson. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Lillian Westbury, June (Garth) Cumming, Maybel Clark, Elva Culbertson, and May Culbertson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gail was predeceased by her loving husband Wes Culbertson and only brother James Fisher. The Ceremony to Celebrate Gail's Life was held at Memories Chapel, on Wednesday, July 16, 2008. Arlene Robertson of First Presbyterian Church officiated. Interment followed in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Gail to a charity of their choice.
