Obituary

DAVIDSON: The death of Frances Elizabeth Davidson of Brandon, widow of Eugene Benvie "Jeep" Davidson occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, November 28, 2008. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11:00 am. The Rev. Laird Russell- Yearwood of Central United Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brandon cemetery. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Frances to the Manitoba Lung Association, #8, 940 Princess Avenue, Brandon, MB R7A 0P6 or to a charity of choice. DAVIDSON: Frances Elizabeth Davidson of Brandon, widow of Eugene Benvie "Jeep" Davidson passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, November 28, 2008. Frances was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia on April 11, 1936, the daughter of Joe and Florence Langille. She obtained her education in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia and in the early years of employment, she worked in the Bank in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 1979, Frances married, Eugene "Jeep" Davidson. Frances then was employed at the Brandon University as a cashier until her retirement. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and enjoyed crafts and knitting. Frances is survived by: her mother, Florence Langille, twin sister, Freda Langille, sister, Dianne Porteous and a brother, Ross Langille and his wife Norma. There are many nieces and nephews, her stepchildren and their families. She also leaves good friends; Shirley Gray, Rosie Connors, Theresa and Dan MacKinnon and Mary Davidson. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel, on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11:00 am. The Rev. Laird Russell-Yearwood of Central United Church officiated. Pallbearers were: Dan MacKinnon, Robert MacKinnon, Kevin Power, Aron Burke, Dan Conners and Marc Lefebvre. Interment followed in the Brandon cemetery. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Frances to the Manitoba Lung Association, #8, 940 Princess Avenue, Brandon, MB R7A 0P6 or to a charity of choice.
