MILLER: Florence Mabel Miller passed away peacefully at the Assiniboine Centre, November 21, 1999 at 91 years of age. She was born September 10, 1908 at Boissevain, MB, the youngest daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Reid, sister of Elsie, Addie, Ella, Wes and Manson. She married George Miller of Justice, April 17, 1929 and they celebrated their 60th Anniversary April 17, 1989. Florence and George farmed at Justice for many years. They retired and moved to Brandon in 1960 residing on 8th Street. Following
George's death, Florence resided at Lawson Lodge for 9 years, where she made many friends. She believed in keeping busy and could see something of value in everything. We thank her for leaving with us many warm memories of crocheting doilies and table cloths, making rugs, blankets, bed spreads and also remember her great cooking. She will be greatly missed and leaves to mourn her passing her two daughters: Margaret (Al Allanson) of Portage La Prairie and Sharon (Dale Hermanson) of Brandon. Four great-grandchildren: Jason, Aaron and Brittany Lamontagne, Thompson, and Jared Melnyk, Kelowna, BC. There are many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George, November 21, 1989; one son and one daughter in infancy; grandson Terry Hermanson; her
parents; three sisters and two brothers. The funeral service will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th
Street North, on Thursday, November 25, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Florence to a charity of choice. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
