MCKAY: The death of Florence Jean McKay occurred at Valleyview Care Centre on Wednesday, July 18, 2007. The Ceremony to Celebrate Florence's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
Rev. David Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Florence may be made to charity of one's choice. Complete obituary information will follow. McKAY: Florence Jean (nee Mann) passed away peacefully at Valleyview Care Centre on Wednesday, July 18, 2007. Florence was born in 1916 and raised in the Rounthwaite area. In 1943, she married Bert McKay. They lived in the Hayfield area and then moved to Brandon. Florence was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed time spent with her family. She loved to make "special" treats for her family and friends. Florence is survived by her daughter Noreen (Rick) Margetts; son Bob (Dyann) McKay; grandsons Rob (Wendy) Margetts, David (Elaine) McKay; great-granddaughters Jody (Curtis) Kehler, Jenna Margetts, Hailey McKay, and Hannah McKay. She also leaves brother-in-law Ken (Marg) McKay and several nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her husband Bert; parents William and Dinah Mann; brothers Charles (Edith) Mann, Bill (Jean) Mann; sisters Emily Mann, Bernice (Bill) Church and granddaughter Amy McKay. The Ceremony to Celebrate Florence's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Saturday, July 21, 2007 (today) at 2:00 p.m. Rev. David Wilson will officiate.
