The service to Celebrate Evelyn's Life will be held at Memories Chapel 330-18th Street, on Wednesday February 16, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. OLIVER: It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn Joyce Oliver announce her sudden passing on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Rock Lake Hospital in Crystal City, Manitoba. Ev was born in the R.M. of Miniota and at a young age moved with her parents to the Willen District in 1945. When her parents retired in 1955, the family moved to Elkhorn. Following that, Ev moved to Brandon and while working at the Metropolitan Store in 1961, she met her future husband, Terry. Ev and Terry were married on June 15, 1963. In 1969, they were blessed with the birth of their oldest daughter, Michelle and then in again in 1972, with the birth of their daughter, Shauna. Ev worked at Reesor's Jewellery for a number of years and then at Hillcrest Nursing Home until she retired in 2000 to spend more time with her family and grandchildren. Ev's hobbies and interests included: knitting, gardening, curling, camping and fishing, but most importantly spending time with her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 + years, Terry; daughters, Michelle Oliver (Hartley Gerbrandt) and Shauna (Kevin) McLennan; granddaughters, Kelsey and Mackenzie. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret (Ed) Martin and Merlene (Dave) Paetkau; brother, Earl (Lillian) Cowan; mother-in-law, Laura Oliver; sister-in-law, Sandra (Bill) Johnson; brother-in-law, Keith Oliver; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ev was predeceased by her parents, David and Eva Cowan; brother, Ross Cowan and father-in-law, Jack Oliver.
