KIMMEL: Eunice Louisa Victoria passed away at the Assiniboine Centre on Sunday, February 3, 2008. Eunice was born on the family farm in Erickson, Manitoba on June 24, 1925, the youngest child of John and Berna Magnell. She attended school in Erickson and later completed a course in Edmonton, Alberta as a medical receptionist. In 1948, Eunice moved to Vancouver, British Columbia where she worked in a doctor's office. On February 21, 1958 Eunice married Helmer Kimmel in Vancouver. They lived in several towns in British Columbia as Helmer worked in the logging industry. Eunice later worked at K-Mart for a number of years. In 1994, Eunice moved to Brandon where she resided until her passing. Eunice loved her home and garden and was a wonderful homemaker. She was very involved in the growing up years of her niece and nephew Maureen and Jack. Eunice was predeceased by: her husband Helmer; parents John and Berna Magnell; sister Edna and brothers Harold, Einar, Wilfred, Herbert, and her niece Maureen Higham. She is survived by her nephews Jack K. Magnell (Dorothy) and Jack W. Magnell (Carolyn); niece Valerie Sykes; nephew-in-law Glen Higham and step-nephew Don Stitt (Joan). She also leaves special cousin Shirley Klautt of Panoka, Alberta and several great nieces and nephews. The Ceremony to Celebrate Eunice's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 1:30 pm. Joanne Biggs, Chaplain will officiate. Interment will follow at a later date in Maple Ridge, BC. Donations in memory of Eunice may be made to a charity of one's choice. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
