Eric Jacob Fast, age 90 years, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Minnedosa Hospital.

Eric was born on November 22, 1933, in Rapid City, Manitoba, to Jacob and Tena Fast. He attended Medina School and later Rivers School. On August 16, 1960, Eric married Tina Maria Thiessen, the love of his life, and they were blessed with two sons, Larry and Norman.

Throughout his life, Eric worked as a dedicated grain, cattle, and pig farmer. He contributed to significant community projects, including the Rivers Lake construction and the construction of the grain elevator in Rivers, along with the National Grain Elevator.

Eric was deeply involved in his community, serving as a teacher with 4-H and as a member of the Rivers Church Board. He cherished his involvement in the church choir and other church activities.

Eric is survived by his sons, Larry and Norman, daughter-in-law Heather, brother John, sister Helen, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Tina, parents Jacob and Tena, brother Ernie, and sister Annalee.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, Brandon, Manitoba.

The Funeral Service will take place on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, Brandon, Manitoba.
