HUTTON: The death of Elvie Harriett Hutton of Fairview Home in Brandon, occurred on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the age of 88 years. Elvie was born in Minnedosa, Manitoba on October 18, 1917. She moved with her family to the United States at an early age. Elvie then returned to Wasagaming, Manitoba where she met and married Peter Wallace "Wally" Hutton. They resided several years at Wasagaming. She worked at the Art/Craft Shop during the summer months while living in Onanole, Manitoba where they resided until Wally's passing in 1962. Elvie later moved to Brandon where she worked as a cook at the Brandon Mental Health Centre before retiring. She enjoyed many day trips and visiting her friends at Riding Mountain. Elvie is survived by: her children, Eleanor Harrison of Picture Butte, AB, Helen Hutton of Wasaga Beach, ON, and Ron Hutton of Lethbridge, AB; grandchildren, Laura Hofsink, Gordon Harrison and Dennis Harrison; there are seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Hutton; daughter, Shirley Hutton and brothers, Wes Swanson and Carl Miller. Interment will be held in the Minnedosa Cemetery at a later date.
