WHEELER: Elliott Charles Wheeler passed away at the Boissevain Health Centre on Thursday, October 9, 2008. Elliott was born in the RM of Morton on January 25, 1919. He received his education at Primrose School. Upon completion, he worked for various farms and garages until 1951, when he started his own garage, "Highway Service" in partnership with Jake Jasper. In 1963, he sold the garage and went to work at the Peace Gardens until 1974. He later retired in 1984. Elliott was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and was thoroughly interested in sports. Elliott was predeceased by his father and mother, Arthur and Elisabeth; three brothers: Arnott, Russell and Cecil and one sister Muriel. He is survived by one brother Harold (Elsie); nephews Clair (Pat), Gordon (Emily), Murray, Gary (Pat), and Lloyd and one sister-in-law Germaine.
