Obituary

BAGNALL: The death of Elizabeth Bertha Bagnall occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Sunday, January 30, 2005. Elizabeth ??Bessie?? was born April 23, 1917 in the Interlake area of Manitoba, five years after her parents immigrated to Canada from England. Her father abandoned the family so her mother found work as a housekeeper for a widowed farmer in the Arizona S.D. Elizabeth had long horseback rides to Castle Hill School in all kinds of weather and completed her schooling in grade 9. She worked along side her husband on the farm and together they raised four children. They raised beef cattle and chickens, grew grain and hay, and milked cows. Elizabeth was a member of Arizona Women??s Organization. She was a proud grandmother and enjoyed working in her garden, sewing and writing letters to her family. Elizabeth is survived by; sons Robin Bagnall and Herb Bagnall (Lucille Desorcy); daughters Helen Bagnall (John Christopher), Dianne (Don) Noto; grandchildren Anne, Brian and Kevin Bagnall, Daniel Christopher, Jasmine (McKay) Ferrell, Nicole (Jeff) Olson and Amy Noto (Craig Cesmystruk); great grandchildren Hannah Olson and Keelee Ferrell; sisters-in law, Christina McIntyre and Ida Bagnall and numerous nieces and nephews; good friend and neighbor Casper Manshanden. She was predeceased by; her husband Ernest Bagnall in 1984, mother Bertha Turner Ward; brother Henry Ward; and daughter-in-law Evelyn Bagnall. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at the Austin United Church, Austin, MB, on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Emily Lovell will officiate. Pallbearers are: Brian Bagnall, Kevin Bagnall, Jeff Olson, Craig Cesmystruk, Brent Jones and Boyd Bagnall. Interment will follow in the Austin Cemetery. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Elizabeth to the Manitoba Lung Association, 8-940 Princess Avenue, Brandon, MB R7A 0P6 or to a charity of choice.
