WOLOSHEN: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Eileen Margaret Woloshen (Steele) of Brandon (formerly of Neepawa), on October 8, 1999. Eileen was born at Mayfeld, Manitoba on December 30, 1915. She later married Bill in October of 1938. Over the years Eileen worked for many families in Neepawa and at Hip's Manufacturing. She and Bill enjoyed many hours together and made many friends while going to square dances. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Bill in 1990 and her parents John and Lavina Steele. She leaves to mourn her sons Allan of Brandon and Albert (Pat) of Vernon, BC; grandsons, Dean of Kelowna, BC and Darcy of Vancouver, BC; granddaughter, Angie (Rob) Sumka of Winnipeg; great-granddaughters Shannon and Chelsea; and great-grandson Mitch. Also surviving are Eileen's brother, Gordon Steele, Brandon; sisters: Hazel Woloshen, Minnedosa, Merle (John) Wastle, Brandon, and Rita Green, Brandon; brothers-in-law John (Claire) Woloshen, Petawawa, ON and Clarence Williams, Minnedosa; sisters-in-law Kay Kuz, Winnipeg, and (Horace) Anne Williams, Minnedosa. Many nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service was held Saturday, October 16, 1999 at Memories Chapel, Brandon with Capt. Roy Dueck officiating.
