The death of E. Irene Bray, widow of Manson Bray, occurred at her residence, the Riverdale Personal Care Home, Rivers on Sunday, November 10, 2002. The funeral ceremony will be held at the Rivers United Church on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Glenna Beauchamp will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rivers cemetery. The death of E. Irene Bray, widow of Manson Bray, occurred at her residence, the Riverdale Personal Care Home, Rivers on Sunday, November 10, 2002. Irene was born on May 8, 1911 in the R.M. of Daly, the daughter of Alexander and Effie White. She was raised on a farm at Rivers. She married Manson Bray on October 2, 1934, where they farmed in the Lothair district until 1969, retiring to Rivers that same year. Irene belonged to the Lothair Daly Hospital Guild. She served for several years as a volunteer with the Mental Health Association and was active with the Rivers Seniors. Irene was also an avid bingo player. She is survived by her daughter-in-law; Jean Bray, sons; Gerald (Linda) Bray, and Glen (Carol) Bray, daughter; Dianne (Skip) Wolstenholme. There are nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A brother; Maxwell White, and many nieces and nephews also survive. Irene was predeceased by her husband; Manson in 1970; son, Lorne in 1996; brothers and sisters, Clarence and Ted, Irma, Millie and Gladys.
