SMITH: Suddenly on Monday, June 19, 2006, Edward John Keefe "Ted" Smith passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Ted was born on November 3, 1938 in Hamiota, Manitoba. He grew up working on the family farm. Early in his life, he worked in several lumberyards in Hamiota and Boissevain, Manitoba and Prince Albert and Tisdale, Saskatchewan, before starting a 42 year career at Jacobson and Greiner in Brandon. Ted enjoyed gardening, boating, and military history. He had a wonderful sense of humour, and loved to tell jokes and pull pranks on those who were closest to him. Ted had a very strong work ethic, and loved to enter work challenges head on. He felt great pride in all of his accomplishments at J&G. He started working in the lumberyard, and then progressed to comptroller, estimator and project manager. Ted was a self taught, sharp businessman throughout his career. Ted will be lovingly remembered by his wife Barbara; Children Timothy, Pamela (Dusty), Krista (Terry), Jonathan (Jamie), and Laura (Ron); Grandchildren Tyler, Kylee, Danika, McKenna, and Cullen; Siblings Robert, Kathleen, George (Betty), and Eveline (Jim). Ted is predeceased by his parents Frank and Grace Smith; brother Norman; brother-in-law Ray. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Friday, June 23, 2006 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Bethel Christian Assembly, 440 Richmond Avenue, on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Mike Davis will officiate.
