MASTER: Edward Coventry Master, dear father of Jennifer Tarr (Brent Little) passed away peacefully on August 6, 2011 at the age of 88 years. Ed was born on November 9, 1922, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Canadian Army at the age of 19 and spent 6 years overseas serving in France, Italy, and occupied Germany. While overseas he fell in love and married Mary Belcher of London, England. After the war they returned to Marchwell, Saskatchewan where Ed started his career as an auto mechanic. In 1947, they returned to London, England. Shortly thereafter their two daughters Shirley and Jennifer were born. In 1954, Ed re-enlisted with the Canadian Army and they moved back to Canada where Ed served in Winnipeg, Germany, Gagetown, NB, and Shilo. In 1971, Ed retired from his Military career and the family moved to Brandon. Ed worked at Brandon Automobiles as a mechanic until 1986. Ed was passionate about the Canadian Military and was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He volunteered for many years at the Brandon Armies Museum. His strongest passion was his family and found a special joy following his grandsons in all their sports and activities. He was predeceased by daughter Shirley Woolliscroft in 1992 and his wife Mary in 2005. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Jennifer (Brent Little), grandsons: Eric (Lynn) Woolliscroft of Halifax, NS, Mark (Tattney) Tarr of Victoria BC, Brad Tarr of Brandon and their father Tony Tarr. Also surviving are great grandchildren: Trinity and Cashton Woolliscroft, Talitha Tarr, Hunter and Jax Tarr, sons-in-law Brent Little and Clay Woolliscroft. A Celebration of Ed's life was held August 15, 2011 at Memories Chapel with the Venerable Paul Curtis officiating.
