Peacefully on Monday, December 25, 2017, with family by her side, Dorothy "Joan" Nystedt, age 76 years, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 52 years, Dennis Nystedt; son Todd; daughter Treena; three sisters and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Grace and Howard Handford. At Joan's request, a private family gathering will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joan may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation for the Western Manitoba Cancer Centre, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2B3.
