Fisher: It is with deep sadness the family of Dorothy Fisher announces her passing on Wednesday January 1, 2014 at the Assiniboine Centre – Palliative Care Unit.
Dorothy was born May 3, 1934 in Brandon Manitoba where she spent her life. She worked at Canada Safeway and IGA for many years before going back to the Assiniboine Community College to become a hairdresser.
One of her greatest pleasures was her grandchildren and her grand dog.
Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Traci, son-in-law Terry, grandchildren Chris and Brittany, and grand dog Ali, all of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Dorothy was predeceased by her sister Ida, her father William and mother Mary Jane.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be at a later date at the Brandon Cemetery.
